AIS HIGH SCHOOL CO-CURRICULAR (CCA) PROGRAMME & REGISTRATION PROCEDURES Term 2 2024

General Information

AIS provides activities which challenge students to develop themselves physically, mentally, emotionally and socially.  We promote a safe environment in which our students are encouraged to be principled, caring, open-minded, and risk-takers.

Enrolment for CCAs is via the school website – click the link provided in this email.

CCAs are structured into Creativity, Activity, and Service (CAS).

Years 7 and 8 – At least 1 CCA per week but can do more

Students must participate in at least one each of Creativity, Activity, and Service over an academic year.

Years 9 and 10 – At least 2 CCAs per week but can do more

Students must participate in at least one each of Creativity, Activity, and Service over an academic year.

Years 11 and 12 – Students will work with the CAS coordinator to develop their own personal program.

All students can participate in competitive sporting tournaments and are encouraged to do so.  These include games and tournaments as part of the Jakarta Activities Athletics’ Conference (JAAC) in Basketball, Football, Volleyball, and Badminton.  The AISA games will be hosted by AIS Singapore in 2024.

All precautions are taken to ensure the safety of students at school activities.  AIS is not responsible for the safety and supervision of students who remain at school and are not enrolled in activities.  As a general security and safety precaution, parents are kindly reminded to have children picked up promptly at the conclusion of activities each day.  Students must follow registration procedures and obtain permission to participate in any CCA.

CCA Registration Information

  • Registration follows a ‘first received, first served’ system unless there are registration prerequisites as stated in the CCA programme information.
  • For any CCAs that incur a fee, you will be invoiced at the commencement of the respective CCA.  Fees are shown on the CCA schedule.
  • Some CCAs have selection criteria.  Please ensure that you check with the respective Activity Leader about the criteria.
  • If signing up for Swim Team, use the sign up form on the AIS website.
  • JAAC Sports are seasonal and may not be offered each term.
  • Students should make their way to activities promptly.
  • Students who enroll in CCAs starting at 4 pm must also enroll in a CCA from
  • 3 to 4 pm to ensure they are supervised throughout the afternoon.
  • Some CCAs require attendance outside of school such as Service activities, and JAAC away games.  By registering your child for a CCA you give permission for your child to attend such events outside of the AIS campus.  All such events are supervised by AIS staff.
  • Sports Levy applies to CCAs that require participation in JAAC tournaments including Football, Basketball, Badminton, and Volleyball.  The levy is Rp500,000,- per term and is only paid once regardless of how many sports the student participates in.  The levy is used to cover the cost of referee officials at matches, transport, and JAAC registration fees.
  • Updated CCA information is provided in Jakarta Bytes.
  • Activities should be carefully chosen as refunds cannot be given once payment has been made unless there are extenuating circumstances.
  • Students/parents must inform the Activity Leader, if signing up or discontinuing an activity after the programme has commenced.

Please note that by registering online or submitting the CCA Consent form, you agree that you have read the program information and are aware of registration and activity procedures. We appreciate any feedback or comments on the CCA programme. Please do not hesitate to contact the CCA Coordinator at school or via email hector.aguilera@ais-indonesia.com if any particular aspect of the programme requires attention.
